I'd highly recommend seeing this in IMAX.

This film had me in it's first 10 the 2 men starting out chilling against a country backdrop underneath a then as they walk the scenery transitions into gradually increasing grimness as you release they are walking back into the trenches and the front lines. You are right about WWI fading from memory, at least here in America. We didn't get involved in it, until relatively late and isn't near as much a part of our consciousness as WWII. It's over 100 years ago now, but it was the first 'modern' 20th century war. It transformed Europe as it marked the end of Romanov Dynasy, the Hapsburg and Ottoman Empires. This film and They Shall Not Grow Old brought this conflict back to life and it is important to remember.
